I am graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering by the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with a specialization degree in Project Management by the Vanzolini Foundation (University of Sao Paulo).
Presently I am an associate and director of the company EduLogica, operating since 2005 in the sector of educational technologies and distance education, with consultancy, trainment, integrated projects and development of solutions in hardware, software and courseware. Some of the main services performed are: design, deployment and operation of interactive telepresential learning networks with digital video transmission; implementation, configuration and hosting of virtual learning environments (tipically Moodle); elaboration of courses and trainments; and teacher capacitation in distance education and information and communications technologies (ICTs). I have developed and managed projects for several clients such as Associação Nacional de Medicina do Trabalho (ANAMT), AEO Academy (Becomex), Brazilian Medical Association (AMB), FACAMP, Microlins, A.C. Camargo Cancer Center, Uniban, Anhanguera Educacional, among others.
From 2004 to 2008, I was a technological consultant for Edumed Institute, a research, development, innovation and education institution. I have been a member of the administrative council of the organization and have participated in the development of the Brazilian Digital Television System, conducted by FINEP and the Communications and the Science&Technology Ministries.
From 2000 to 2005, I have worked at Diveo, a multinational company specialized in broadband and high performance wireless telecommunications infrastructure and datacenter services for the corporate market, as special projects manager, specifying solutions for over 300 customized projects for clients and supporting the pre-sales team. I have also been the manager of the product engineering and network capacity planning areas and have been responsible for managing the network engineering project for the Electronic Ticketing System, a large automation project for SPTrans, responsible for the city of Sao Paulo bus transportation network.
I have worked in Reston, VA, USA, from January to June 2000, at the international company CelPlan, in the planning of a MMDS system (broadband Internet access platform using point-to-multipoint wireless technology) for Sprint, in several large American cities. In the same company, I have also worked for one of the largest Brazilian telco company, Telemar, in the planning phase of mobile cellular communications networks for Brazilian C, D and E bands (GSM technology) for the state of Rio de Janeiro.
During 1999, I was a partner and project manager of Webpraxis, coordinating the development of websites and Internet presence strategies for corporate clients and providing consultancy services in several telecommunications areas and applications, such as local area networking, call center development and videoconferencing over IP.
Between the years 1997 and 1998, I have worked at NEC, as a product engineer in the area of digital microwave radios and cellular base transceiver stations.
During my engineering undergraduate years, I have been a trainee in Smar, IBM and Sao Paulo Alpargatas.
